Fuel-cell systems not only require constant hydrogen recirculation, but also a continuous, needs-based supply of hydrogen from the tank. When so requested by the fuel-cell control unit, the component feeds the necessary quantity of hydrogen for the stack in a fuel-cell system.
In addition, the valve features a shut-off function for separating the medium-pressure stage from the fuel-cell stack. Shut-off function avoids use of an additional medium-pressure valve.
