Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG)
Low inertia mixed flow turbine wheel
BorgWarner series-2 compact brushless actuator
Milled titanium high boost pressure compressor
Bearing housing with ball-bearing to optimize total efficiency
FT4 PowerTech PSS engine
Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
Precise amounts of cooled exhaust gases are mixed with incoming fresh air lowering combustion temperatures. This improves performance and lowers emissions.
JR710E (The application torque: 400Nm) and JR711E (The application torque: 600Nm)
With conventional wastegated turbochargers or fixed geometry turbochargers (FGT), a turbine flow area cannot be adjusted during operation.
Knocking is abnormal combustion in which the air-fuel mixture ignites prematurely due to exposure to high temperature and pressure, creating an unwanted high-frequency noise. When the compression ratio is increased, the temperature at compression top dead center (TDC) also rises, increasing the probability of knocking.
