This system is designed to be capable of comprehensive performance evaluation of vehicle suspension and tires.
In order to pursue higher chassis performance with such lower RRC (rolling resistance coefficients) tires, therefore, it is of great importance that a quantitative grasp of tire characteristics be obtained and that, on that knowledge, an optimal suspension be designed from the initial stages of the development.
The present test system has three measurement modes suited to each purpose:
(1) Vehicle test mode;
(2) Suspension carrier mode; and
(3) Tire stand mode.
